West Palm Beach, Florida native, Barry L. Howard, 50, of Fayetteville, Georgia, died June 18, 2010 at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City, GA, following a long battle with cancer. Barry Lee Howard was born September 17, 1959, in West Palm Beach, FL to Carlisle and Lourdes (Dumond) Howard. He graduated from Cardinal Newman High School in 1977 and later earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska.
On October 17, 2003, he married Kim Thomas in Blair, Nebraska. Barry worked for Delta Airlines from 1978 to 2008 holding several positions from cabin service to station manager. In 2008 he started a new carrier as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. He was a beloved friend to many. Barry enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a dedicated husband, father, son and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Kim of Fayetteville, GA; sons. Barry Lee (23) and Steven (21) of Sandy Springs, GA, and Ethan (5), of Fayetteville, GA; father, Carlisle Howard and wife, Carolyn of The Villages, FL; mother, Lourdes Murphy and husband, James of The Villages, FL; brothers, Daniel Howard of West Stockbridge, Massachusetts and Raymond Howard of Jacksonville, FL; stepbrothers, James Murphy of Lawrenceville, GA, Joseph Murphy of West Palm Beach, FL; and stepsister, Michelle Murphy of Clermont, FL. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
