Gladys married William "Brian" Tilley who was a career service man in the U.S. Army, and was disabled in WWI.

Gladys and Brian had a beautiful home on Harper Rd. near the turnpike exit, which was torn down after their deaths and a hotel was built on that site. Gladys nieces always called the house a mansion. She used to let us wear her furs and carry her alligator purses. Gladys and Brian were foster parents to special needs children and loved everyone of them unconditionally.
