Funeral services for J. Ann Carney Ames of Muscatine will be held on Saturday, November 26, 1994 at 10:30 a.m., at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa. Ann and her husband, Earnest died Friday in an automobile accident in Moberly, Missouri.

Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Conesville, Cemetery, Conesville, Iowa. A memorial has been established for their children.

Jareen Ann Carney was born October 22, 1955 to Roy L. "Mick" and Mary Ellen Pallischek Carney. She married Ernest C. Ames, February 5, 1994 in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Ann worked in the NICU Blood Gas Lab at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. She was a member of the Johnson County Genealogical Society.

Survivors include her daughter, Meaghan Carne at home, a step-son, Matthew Ames, at home, and step-daughter Jennifer Ames, Wydman, Arkansas, and a step-granddaughter. Also surviving are two sisters, Barbara Wheeler, Columbus Junction, Mrs. John (Tracey) Storm, Conesville, and a brother, Jeff Carney, Conesville. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a nephew.
