JOHN DONALD (DON) MYERS
Our dad, grandfather, husband and friend, John Donald (Don) Myers, age 87, of Walland took his final journey to be forever in the presence of our Lord on March 18, 2013, at Kindred Care of Maryville. He worked for Alcoa Aluminum Company retiring in 1989. Dad will forever be remembered for his faithful church attendance and for his love for the old church hymns. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity for he believed and practiced that man should always be forthright and honest in all things. He was preceded in death by a son, Harold; parents, John and Mary Tina (Aunt Nine) Flynn Myers; brothers, Verl, Raymond, Roy, Stanley and Rafe; sister, Margie Potter; brothers-in-law, Mance Potter and Johnny Headrick; sisters-in-law, Princess Myers and Rachel Ownby; mother-in-law, Vedith Headrick.

Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 64 years, Mary Pearl Myers; son, Jim Myers; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Rev. Kenneth Martin, Rhonda and Rev. Dr. Tom McLemore, Sherry and William (Bill) Christian, Jr.; granddaughters, Kimberly Martin and Sarah McLemore; granddaughter and husband, Sherri and Lee Staley. He also leaves behind two great-grandsons, Colton and Lane Staley; sister, Edna Russell; sister and brother-in-law, Alene and Fred Emert; brother, Earnest Myers; brother and sister-in-law, Odell and Laura Myers; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janie and Charles Coleman of South Bend, Indiana; brother-in-law, Edward Ownby; special sister-in-law, Mary Headrick, and special neighbor, Sandy Butler both of whom faithfully supported the family through encouragement during his sickness. He leaves behind a host of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom McLemore officiating.
