Patricia Bupp, wife of Paul June Bupp, was fatally injured in a two car collision on Carlisle Road at the intersection of the Bendersville Rd. and the Gettysburg-Carlisle Pike that is a couple miles from Biglerville in Adams County. Both vehicles were demolished.
Patricia was the driver of her car that also was carrying her three children, two sustained injuries while her nine month old baby totally escaped injury.
The driver of the other car was Donna Mae Showers and her passengers were her eight year old sister, Bonnie Susan Showers who was also fatally injured. Another passenger who sustained injuries was a two year old child, Gene Metzer.
Miss Showers was headed north when she was about to enter the Bendersville Rd. from the Gettysburg-Carlisle Pike when she collided with Patricia Bupp's vehicle. The deceased succumbed to their injuries at the Gettysburg Warner Hospital.
