Title: Toomstone, Ash-Snidow family cemetery located in Monroe County,
MO, Township 55N, Range 12W, 1/4 mi East of Monroe Co. gravel
road 313 off to the North of Monroe Co. gravel road 316
Monroe Co. MO Census for 1850 pg 97,

Record #106918754: I've suggested correcting his date and place of death. The current date (17 Apr 1863) is not credible because the initial probate hearing occurred on 13 Apr 1863. The best we can say is that he died before that date--I've suggested Apr 1863. It also is not clear where he died. There are some Civil War records associated with him in ancestry.com, so it is possible that he died in the War, in which case it likely was not in MO. I have not credited these records because the dates are not consistent with a death in 1863: for example, there is a record of Confederate Prisoners of war that include the name George W. Ash, captured in May 1864. I've suggested simply leaving the place blank.
