Pauline Gertrude Eakin, 79, of Waynesboro, Virginia, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in St. Luke's Adult Care and Rehab.
She was born February 21, 1928, in Beckley, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Lacy Kyle Petrey and Nellie Marie Foster Petrey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hamilton Mack Eakin; a sister, Katherine Withrow; and a brother, Lacy Petrey.
Mrs. Eakin is survived by a sister, Shirley Marie Sheers of Hinton, West Virginia; two brothers, Robert Lee Petrey of Marshallville, Ohio, and James Thomas Petrey, of Akron, Ohio.
A service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Smals. Burial will follow in Concord Brethen Cemetery of Fairfield.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, Virginia.
