Marguerite (Mimi) Jean, 71, of 21 Libby Ave., Lewiston, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon at her home.
She was born at Livermore Falls, June 14, 1912, the daughter of Pierre and Lea Duguay Girardin. She had resided in Lewiston since 1924 and was educated in Livermore Falls and Lewiston schools. She married Gerard P. Jean June 6, 1930.
Mrs. Jean was a communicant at St. Joseph's Church.
Surviving are her husband of Lewiston; one daughter, Mrs. Marcel (Constance) Morin of Lewiston; two sons, Gerard P. Jean, Jr. of Pacifica, Calif., and Bud Jean of West Covina, Calif.; two sisters, Lola Clark of Boston and Mrs. Richard (Rita) Pelletier of Topsham; two brothers, Gerard Girardin of Jay, and Norman Girardin of Livermore Falls; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

JEAN - in Lewiston, Oct. 7, 1983, Marguerite (Mimi) Jean, age 71, of 21 Libby Ave. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Church. Internment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fortin Funeral Home.
