She was born June 5, 1912, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late James O. and Gertrude (Lilley) Angstadt. On Sept. 1, 1935, in Lewisburg, she married Harold E. Moyer, who preceded her in death in 1976.

She was employed as a clerk and candy maker at the Purity Candy Co., Lewisburg.

She loved traveling, and after retiring from the Purity, she took many bus trips with the Ramblers Club, including trips to Alaska and back across the northern U.S., the Canadian Maritimes and East Coast states. Emma also visited Bermuda, California and Hawaii. She and her husband instilled a love of nature and all of God's creation in their children and grandchildren.
