JOHN CLEMENT MARKHAM
John (Clem) Markham, 70, of 1077 ½ Central, died at noon Thursday at the residence.
Friends may call at the Strueber Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church. The Rev. Thomas F. Currier will sing the Requiem Mass. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
He was a member of the Holy Name Society.
He was born at Rickardsville, son of John and Maria Regan Markham, and lived in Dubuque since 1915. Retired since 1949, he was employed as a teamster and trucker for Dubuque firms.
Surviving are his wife, Mary L. Chatfield Markham; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest [Evelyn] Weber and Mrs. Floyd [Melita] Smith, both of Dubuque; a son, John Herschel Markham, Dubuque; nine grandchildren, and a brother, Phillip Markham, Dubuque.
St. Patrick's Holy Name Society will recite the rosary at the funeral home at 8:45 p.m. Friday.
