Virginia was born November 30, 1926 to William G. and Martha (Bott) Reitz in Crook Colorado. She graduated 8th grade in Sterling, Colorado and received her GED from North Eastern Junior College. Virginia married Leo Dick in 1944 in St. Francis, Kansas. They lived in Sterling for many years where she was the manager at BeauMont and Sweetbriar. After living in Berthoud for 2 years, she moved to Longmont.
She loved fashion and studied all of the fashion magazines to help her buy the right styles. Virginia was very active in the Peace Lutheran Church in Sterling where she taught Vacation Bible School as well as junior high and high school groups. She loved children, crafts, especially knitting, crocheting and painting and played the accordion, going to nursing homes to play once a week. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Longmont.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers Edward and Harold Reitz, a sister Rosemary Rosenbach, daughter Sharon Dick and granddaughter Ashley Mildenberger.
Virginia is survived by her daughter of Longmont and a grandson of Berthoud.
Memorial service to be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with inurnment after the service in the church Columbarium.
