A Parish Rosary was held at 7 p.m. Monday, November 19, led by Rev. Jesse Euresti followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:30 p.m. led by Council #4843, Knights of Columbus, Eagle Lake. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church of Eagle Lake with Rev. Jesse Euresti and Rev. Tom Hanus officiating. Interment followed in the Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake. Pallbearers scheduled were Allen George Mahalitc, Clayton Mahalitc, Mark Faldyn, Thierry Hoffman, Jim McCartney, Wilbert Bankston, Johnny Prazak and Weldon Buxkemper. Mr. Mahalitc's dedication to his family, his church and his community will long be missed. A good, hard-working man who was always willing to help any one or any organization when called upon. He was a man who, due to illness, had to live with a lot of pain and frustration the last 10 years of his life. But through it all, he kept his wit, his faith and never gave up the fight. Sympathy is extended to the family in their loss
