Julius Allison enlisted in Company B of the 22nd Texas Infantry on May 1, 1862 in Austin, Texas. He was part of Waul's Brigade, Walker's Division, and the Trans-Mississippi Department who fought in Louisiana and Arkansas including conflicts at Young's Point and Jenkins Ferry. The regiment was disbanded in Hempstead before surrender in May of 1865.
