Born in Rahway, he lived in Westfield the past 43 years.
Mr. Albisser retired from Merck in 1971 after 41 years of service. He was appointed by former New Jersey Covernors Richard J. Hughes and William T. Cahill to the New Jersey Industrial Safety Board and served on I he Atomic Energy Commission in 1947, where he also acted as a consultant through 1953.
A member of Atlas Lodge 125 F&AM, Mr. Albisser was also a member of Valley of Northern New Jersey AASR, Atlas Chapter 99. OES. Salaam Temple AAONMS, and The Presbyterian Church in Westfield. He was a member of Echo Lake Country Club, Mountainside.
Mr Albisser was a graduate of Brown University. Class of 1929.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Servoss Albisser; a son, Herbert of Vineland; a daughter, Miss Joan Albisser of Westfield; a brother, Roger of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Scott of North Palm Beach. Fla.
Monday's services were held at 1 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Richard L. Smith officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery. The Gray Funeral Home, 318 East Broad St., was in charge.
