Iva Marie Yoder, 24, of Center, Mifflintown, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Walker Township, Juniata County.

Born March 21, 1988, she was a daughter of Willis and Katie Ann (Lee) Troyer, of Mifflintown.

Also surviving are: her husband, Nathan I. Yoder, whom she married Jan. 15, 2009; two sons, Jeremiah Devon and Justin Matthew Yoder; four siblings, Saloma, Matthew, Rebecca and Robert Troyer, all of Mifflintown; and her grandparents, Atlee and Iva Troyer, of Mifflintown, and Mary Lee, of Mechanicsville, Md.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gideon Lee.

Her funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the Willis Troyer farm, Center. Interment will be in the Old Order Amish Cemetery, Van Wert.

There will be a viewing from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Troyer farm.

Lewistown Sentinel Obituary March 14, 2013

An report of the aciddent that appeared in the Lewistown Sentinel, May 14, 2013: CO - A collision between a box truck and a horse-drawn buggy left one dead and three injured around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Juniata County, officials report.

Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown said a 24-year-old female, from Mifflintown, was pronounced dead at the scene and a 25-year-old man along with a one-year-old boy and a two-year-old boy, all of Mifflintown, suffered injuries of unknown severity. Police said the children were taken by Fayette EMS ambulances to Lewistown Hospital.

According to the report, a 1999 Spartan box truck driven by David L. Brubaker, 42, of Thompsontown, was traveling east on William Penn Highway, near Wagner Road, Walker Township, when it attempted to pass a horse and buggy traveling at a slow rate of speed.

Police said as the box truck attempted to pass in a designated passing zone, the vehicle struck the rear end of the buggy.

After initial impact the buggy rolled over and came to a final rest on its roof, in the east bound lane, police said.

According to Mifflintown Hose Company the horse was also deceased.

Police said the Brubaker was not injured, will be cited for incident and no alcohol was involved.
