Frederick Ziems of Gilbert Mills Rd. Phoenix R.D.#1, died at State University Hospital in Syracuse where he had been a patient for one day Friday, July 5 th. He was a retired farmer and had worked for the U.S. Government at one time as a carpenter at Pine Camp, new Camp Drum, Watertown and also at Sampson. For the past 10 years he had been employed at Oldfield Restaurant, Fulton. He is survived by one son, Clinton Ziems of West Monroe, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Eunice Lasda of Syracuse; three stepsons, Tracy Hotaling of Fulton, Abery Hotaling of Syracuse and Charles Hotaling of Camillas; two sisters, Miss Bertha Ziems of Fort Pierce, Florida and Miss Mary Ziems of Connecticut; a brother, Walter Ziems of Star Lake. Funeral services were conducted, Main St., Phoenix with interment at Phoenix Rural Cemetery.
