Tensie Hogan Bunch
Mrs. Tensie Hogan Bunch, 83, of Greenwood, died of heart failure Friday, December 20,1996 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Mrs. Bunch was born in Alexander City, Ala. but had lived most of her life in Americas, Ga. For the past three years she had been a resident of North Carrollton, and recently was a resident of Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood. During World War II she was employed at the Naval Ordinance Plant in Americus, Ga. She was retired from Manhattan Shirt Factory in Americus after 25 years. Mrs. Bunch was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Americus where she was very active. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jackie Jordan.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia.
Mrs. Bunch is survived by one daughter, Bunny Costilow of North Carrollton; one sister, May Hogan Webb of Macon, Ga.; three grandchildren, Sharon Jordan Ellis of Americus, Warren Mitchell Costilow of North Carrollton, Ernest Michael Jordan of Athens, Ga.: and one great-great-grandson, John Cameron Ellis of Americus.
Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Greenwood was in charge of arrangements.
