He was born in Valencia, and began his career in the group "Los Relámpagos," but obtained great success when he won Festival of Benidorm with the song "A ti, mujer" in 1975. He also triumphed with songs such as "Mi Soledad," "Nadie," "Tú," "Cerca de Ti," "Sabor a Mí" and "Me Faltas."
