Kenneth E. Johnson, age 78, left this earth to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 6, 2013.
Our hearts are heavy with grief but we rejoice in the assurance that we will see him again.
Kenneth was a long-time member of Wildwood Baptist Church where he taught a Sunday School class that he dearly loved. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Kenneth loved studying the Bible, spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren, restoring John Deere tractors, the outdoors, and wildlife.
Preceded in death by parents, Wade and Nell Johnson.
He leaves behind a loving family to cherish memories of the great man he was: wife, Meralene; children, Karen and Steve Reagan, Beth Hearon, Mark and Missy Johnson; grandchildren, Jimmy and Miranda Reagan, Jake and Allison Reagan, Andy and Kacie Hearon, Matt and Jamey Hearon, Chad Johnson, Jessica and Toki McCray; great-grandchildren, Clark, Abram, Avery, Lily, Donovan and Elijah; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Dale McCammon, Judy and Bill Clabough, Jane and Hugh Hardman; sisters-in-law, Nellie Patty and Jean Malone; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will receive friends from 3 until 4 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Smith West Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Sunday, with Rev. Craig Carlson officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
