Son of Dollie Sparkman and C K Morgan. Husband of Orpha Ann Bass. The most that has been told about Franklin was written by his daughter Orpah Jane (see her individual note). Aunt Janie (as LF knew her) recalled that her Dad was a church going man and said prayer often, was a superintendent at the church and led the singing for many years, and loved good music. Aunt Jabie also reported that her Dad raised vegetables so that the large family always had plenty to eat, and that he like to keep flowers in a flower garden. She said that he was hard working but had heart problems as far back as she can remember and was sick a lot. One time when Franklin got very sick he told everybody goodbye; Janie wrote that far into the night, one of the boys rode a mule to get the Doctor, who came and gave Franklin a big shot, and he began groaning and moaning and said "Why did you bring me back after I had almost passed over?" She relates that Franklin lived 22 years after that.
