His home still stands and was occupied by his son Joseph and the a grandson. It is located at the junction of Cowpen Swamp and State Line roads in North Carolina, just a few miles north of the South Carolina border. He was buried in the Morgan Cemetery at Cowpen Swamp, North Carolina across the road from the home place.
