Michael J. Greaves, 58 years old, formerly of Sanford, ME, and most recently living in Brooklyn, NY died April 21, 2006 at Methodist Hospital in New York.
Michael was born on November 30, 1947 in Sanford, ME. He was the son of James Jr. and Gabrielle (Currier) Greaves. He attended Sanford schools and graduated from Sanford High School in 1966. Following graduation, Michael attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and spent time working for the Bill Baird Marionettes as a puppeteer.
For the past eighteen years Michael worked for Random House Publishing as an editor. He greatly enjoyed reading, the theater and the arts.
Michael is survived by his mother, Gabrielle Greaves of Sanford, ME, a brother John Greaves of Brooklyn, NY; two uncles, Albert Carrignan, Frederick Greaves, and several cousins.
A 10:30 AM graveside service and committal prayers will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford.
