He was a mildfielder who during his career played for Clubs : Liverpool de Montevideo, Club Atletico Peñarol (1960 to 1962), Rampla Juniors (1962), Huracán (1963 to 1964), River Plate (1965), Quilmes (1966), Club Defensor de Montevideo (1967) and Toronto Falcons (1968). He was coach of Santiago Morning of Chile, Club Olimpia from Paraguay, Deportivo Quito from Ecuador and C.S. Cartaginés of Costa Rica. He was also assistant to the Uruguayan Football when his brother Luis was the coach. Playing for Peñarol won the Copa Libertadores in 1961 and 1962, and also participated in the final phase of the World Cup in 1962 in Chile with Uruguayan Football National Team. After play in Argentina's clubs Quilmes and Huracán, he finished his career in North American Soccer League, where he played for the Canadian team Toronto in 1968, where he scored his only goal in the League against Boston. He also devoted himself to art, and was a celebrated painter on issues related to the Afro-Uruguayan music and its dance the Candombe. (bio by: Errete)
