Mrs. Virginia Iva Sutton Parks, age 56, of 505 Perkins Hollow Rd. Cedar Bluff, Virginia, died Monday, March 14th, 2005 at the Wellmont Bristol Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Cosby, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Curtis and Floella Byrd Sutton, both Tennessee natives.

She was a 1967 graduate of Cosby High School in Cosby, Tennessee and had lived in the Cedar Bluff area the past 35 years. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Lee Millard Parks, two brothers, Curtis Junior Sutton and Leon Breeden.

Survivors are:

One Daughter, Mrs. Anita Perkins and husband, Jerry of Cedar Bluff, Virginia

One Step-Son, Mr. Jerry D. Parks of Nebo, North Carolina

Four Sisters:
Mrs. Faye Barton and husband, Larry of Danville, Virginia
Mrs. Becky Sutton of Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia
Mrs. Wilma Gentry of Newport, Tennessee
Mrs. Lorene Gregg of Parrotsville, Tennessee

One Brother, Mr. Jack Sutton and wife, Marcie of Cleveland, Ohio

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Iva Parks will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands with Rev. Tim Lester and Rev. Larry Ball officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Edward Richardson, Lloyd Smith, Tommy Messor, Galien Cox, Garland Cox, and Mack Byrd. Friends may call at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellmont Hospitality House 366 Steeles Road Bristol, Tennessee 37620.
