Parents: Hiram and Mary Wilson.

Jennie grew up and went to school in Akeley, Minnesota.

On June 11, 1932, Jennie married Earl F. Shaffer in Hackensack, Minnesota. They moved to Myrtle Point, Oregon where Jennie worked at Gurneys Cleaners for 14 years.

After the death of her husband, Earl, in 1967 she moved to Mt. Nebo Trailer Park in Roseburg, Oregon. She then worked for the VA Hospital as a Seamstress, retiring in 1980. Jennie enjoyed volunteering at the Friendly Kitchen, Mercy Care, Auxillary-Narfe and her Church (Wellsprings). With health issues, She moved to Oak Park Assisted Living. She spent her last few years at Anne Disney Foster Care.

Jennie is survived by one son, Oliver Shaffer of Portland, Oregon; the only survivor of 12 children a sister, Catherine Bixby of Park Rapids, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the Disney family, for their special loving care. Thank you to Dr. Townsend and Amedysis Hospice.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Wilson's Chapel of the Roses. She will be laid to rest at Myrtle Crest Memorial Gardens in Coquille, Oregon.
