Mrs. Coblentz Dies; Funeral Here Monday

County Native Succumbs After Long Illness

Mrs. Mary Virginia Coblentz, widow of Emory L. Coblentz, formerly of Middletown and this city, died at the Malcolm Palmer Home, Farmington, Mich., Thursday night at 11:25 o'clock following a lenghty illness.

Mrs. Coblentz was a native of this county. Aged 77 years, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Laura Toms Kefauver.

For a number of years she served as a member of the Board of Managers of the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She also was a life-member, former superintendent and a judge of the Frederick County Agricultural Society.

She ws a life-long member of the Christ Reformed Church of Middletown and also a member of the Eastern Star, Loyalty Chapter 52, Middletown.

Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Fox, Grosse Ile. Mich.; four step children, Mrs. George P. Swank, this city; Mrs. Nat T. Winston, Johnson City, Tenn.; Mrs. Frank Englesing of Port Gibson, Miss.; Mrs. J. Lester Parson Jr., Short Hills, N.J.; Three brothers, Albert W. Kefauver, Boonsboro; Dr. Noah E. Kefauver, Middletown; and Newton R. Kefauver, of this city; and a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Culler, this city; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The body rests at the Ridge Funeral Home, Trenton, Mich., and will be shipped to the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where friends may call after noon, Saturday. Funeral will take place from the funeral home Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment in Reformed cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Christ Reformed Church, Middletown. M. R. Etchison and son, funeral directors.
