Missouri Dept of Health death certificate shows: William David Dickbernd died on September 30, 1988 at age 81 at St. Joseph's Health Center, St. Charles, MO. He was born October 5, 1906. He was married to Elvira E. Jung and was a farmer. His address was R. R. 1, Box 287, Old Monroe, Lincoln County, MO 63369. He was buried at St. Paul UCC Cemetery, Old Monroe, MO. Cause of death was adenocarcinoma of the colon and metastasis to brain and lung.

William David Dickbernd
Funeral services for William David Dickbernd were held October 3 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Old Monroe. Rev. Gary Schulte, church pastor, officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Mr. Dickbernd, 81 passed away September 30, 1988 at St. Joseph Health Center, St. Charles. He was born October 5, 1906 the son of William and Rosina Kurz Dickbernd. On September 14, 1940 he married Elvira E. Jung Dickbernd who survives. Also surviving are one son David Dickbernd, Treynor, Ia; one daughter, Ruth Green of St. Charles; six grandchilren; one brother, Elmer H. Dickbernd of St. Louis; two sisters, Olga Krueger of St. Louis and Marie Bothe, Old Monroe; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Dickbernd, one son-in-law Bill Green and one sister-in-law Anita Dickbernd. He was a member of Laborers Local No 212, Winfield. He was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County and he also was known for his violin playing.
