Frank Linley did NOT have a spouse. He was still single until the day he passed.

Frank L. Dolan, a prominent druggist of Freeman, whose dangerous illness has been mentioned in this paper from time to time died at the home of his father, Wm. Dolan, in Freeman Sunday night at 10 o'clock. Mr. Dolan's sudden illness and untimely death have cast gloom over the entire community, for the deceased was a young man of exceptional worth and value and was highly esteemed by everyone with whom he came in contact. Everybody knew Frank Dolan and everybody had a kind word for him. Born and reared in Freeman, he grew to manhood, surrounded by friends and kindred; those who knew and loved him best. He was bright, intelligent and quick in everything. Early in life he determined to be a druggist and following the example of his father he secured a good education as a first requisite. He went to school in Freeman, Marshall, St. Louis, Chicago and other places and perfected himself for his life work. He had been in business but a few years, and had everyting to live for when he was stricken down in the very prime of life and called away. Frank was but 32 years of age and probably at first had no thought of the rapidly nearing end. He was not afraid of death; he knew what was the matter with him. The last intelligent words he uttered were when he spoke to his mother and said :Mother I do not fear death but I do fear insanity" He lived two weeks after that suffering untold agonies, his breath groping in darkness. Thus he died unable to communicate with the loving friends and relatives gathered around his bedside unable to even make known tot hem his desires after the struggle should have been over. The obsequies were Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Freeman cemetery. No services were held at the house but at the grave a large number of friends and sympathizers gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to one who, in life, had held their highest esteem. The service at the grave was brief but impressive and was conducted by Rev. Sullivan of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Harrisonville. At the close the mortal remains of Frank Dolan were consigned to the earth from which they came and his friends departed carrying with the memory of a life of good and noble deeds - a life cut down to the very springtide of his highest usefulness and why no one can tell. Peace to his ashes.
