Mary Jane (Thomas) Bard, 90, a resident of Framingham for more than 50 years, died Saturday Feb. 9, 2013 at Metrowest Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward P. Bard who died in 2008. Born in Dayton Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Millard and Ida (Burns) Thomas. Mrs. Bard was primarily a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother, but also enjoyed many interests including cooking, needlepoint, gardening and singing. She is survived by her son: William M. Bard and his wife Rose of Framingham; 2 grandchildren: Lindsay and Meghan Bard; 3 step-grandchildren; Lucas Mills, Holly and Michael Campbell; her in-laws: Richard and Nancy Parece of Natick and Barbara McDonald of Florida; a nephew: Jimmy Loop of Ohio; her former daughter-in-law: Sherrie Anthony of Holliston; her caregiver of 5 years: Dorothy Embony, and her beloved dog Willy. Visiting hours are Thursday Feb. 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral service will be held Friday Feb. 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
