Friends Mourn Death of Zanot
On Thursday, December 8, 1938, friends mourned the death of Louis Zanot, 50-year-old Prescott Italian, who had been a miner and bartender in this city for 21 years.
Zanot died in Mercy hospital following a short illness.
He was the brother-in-law of Tony and John Marchello, well-known Prescott businessmen. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Virginia Zanot; three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Art Hughes of Winslow; Delina Zanot, a nurse in Phoenix; Celia; James and Michele Zanot, all of Prescott; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ann Marchello of Prescott and Mrs. Henry Howe of El Paso, Texas, and his wife's uncle, Bert Marchello of Prescott.
Coming to Prescott nearly a quarter-century ago, Zanot worked as a miner for several years and later developed some mining property of his own. For the 13 years before his death, he had been employed by his brother-in-law, Tony Marchello, at the Trivoli club. He was born in Italy.
Funeral services at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Ruffner Funeral home in Prescott. Burial in Mountain View cemetery on Saturday, December 10, 1938.
