Chester Brown was about twenty-one and Millie Humphrey was about eighteen when they married about 1911 in New York.

The 1915 New York Census revealed Chester was a farm laborer for wages and they were living in Huron, Wayne County, New York. Household members: Chester (24), Millie (20), Benel (8/12) and Millie's sister, Kittie Humphrey (16).

WWI draft registration dated June 1917 revealed Chester Brown was born December 19, 1890 in Lysander, Onondaga County, New York. He was of medium build, medium height, blue eyes and dark brown hair. He was employed as a laborer on the state road. He had a wife and one child.

The 1920 census revealed Chester was a fireman and a boiler. They rented their home in Lyons, Wayne County, New York. They and their parents were all born in New York. Household members: Chester (29), Millie (26), Beryl (5) and Violet (10/12).

The 1925 New York census revealed Chester was a farmer on his own account. They were living on West Sweden Road in Sweden, Monroe County, New York. Household members: Chester (33), Millie R. (31), Beryl R. (10) and Violet M. (6) and Lilliath F. (4).

The 1930 census revealed Chester worked in a Paper Mill for wages. They rented their home for $10 per month and were living on Maple Avenue in Oakfield, Genesee County, New York. Chester was twenty-one and Millie was eighteen when they married. Household members: Chester (39), Millie R. (36), Beryl (15) and Violet M. (11), Lilliath (8), Oliver G. (3) and boarder, Dorothy Shepard (13).

The 1940 census revealed Chester was a widower and farmer on his own account. He owned his farm on Hog Cock Hill Road in Palmyra, Wayne County, New York where he also lived 1935. His real estate value was $2000. He had a first grade education. His daughter, Violet Gulick and family lived with him. Household members: Chester (48), Violet M. Gulick (21), Harold J. Gulick (27) Priscilla J. Gulick (6/12) and Oliver G. Brown (13).

Social Security Death Index (S.S.D.I.) record revealed Chester Brown received his card before 1951 through the Railroad Board. He was born on December 19, 1890 and died in September 1965.

{{Chester Brown - Lyons - Funeral services for Chester Brown, 75, of Route 103, North Rose, who died in Myers Community Hospital Monday as the result of injuries received when he was struck by an automobile the same day. Will be at 2pm Thursday at the Weeks Funeral Home, Lyons. The pastor of the Methodist Church will officiate. Burial in South Sodus Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5pm and 7-9pm.

Mr. Brown was walking east on the south shoulder of the highway when he walked into the path of a east bound car reportedly operated by Edna Messinger of Sodas Point, according to the state police.

Mr. Brown was born in Lysander on December 19, 1889 the son of Francis and Emily Brown. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Gulick, Mrs. Harry Craver of Florida and Mrs. Calvin Mander. One son, Oliver Brown of Palmyra, three brothers, Harvey Brown of North Rose, Clarence Brown of ? and Frank Brown of Rochester, One sister, Mrs. Harry ?? of Oswego; fourteen grand children and many great-grand children.}}

Chester lived to age 75.
