During the early morning hours of Saturday,
February 4th, 2012, former Canton resident
Carlyle Savacool died quietly at Tioga
Health Care Center in Waverly, NY. He was
89 years of age. Born in LeRoy Township on
September 6th, 1922, he was the son of
Victor and Clara Etta (Morgan) Savacool.
For many years he operated a successful
excavating and contracting business in
Canton, retiring in 1977. He was a member
of Canton Lodge #429 L.O.O.M., as well as
American Legion Post# 154 in Elmira Heights.
In accordance with Mr. Savacool's expressed
wishes there will be no public services.
Interment will be in East Canton Cemetery.
Professional services have been entrusted
to Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, Canton.
