Christopher C. Holloway
Mr. Christopher C. Holloway, resident of Calhoun City, died of heart failure Tuesday, January 25, 1994 at Calhoun County Nursing Home. He was the son of William and Fannie Watson Holloway and the widower of Mrs. Elizabeth Harrelson Holloway.
Born on October 14, 1894 in Choctaw County, Mr. Holloway was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Calhoun City.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Modera Sturdivant and Mrs. Pauline Chapman, both of Calhoun City; his son, Rayford Holloway of Winona; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Pyron Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, January 26, at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Anthony Kay and the Rev. Carl Morris officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Calhoun City.
Serving as pallbearers were Jim Magness, John Magness, J.C. Pullens, David Magness, Curtis Sturdivant and Danny Holloway.
