Ronald B. Weikart

Salem- Ronald B. Weikart, 64, of 1135 Jones Drive died at 9:23 am Wednesday at Salem Community Hospital. He had been ill for two weeks.
Born Aug 8, 1930 in Washingtonville, he was the son of Russell and Mary (Bertolette) Weikart.
Mr. Weikart had been employed as a machinist at NRM in Leetonia for 28 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 892 and Machinist Union In Leetonia. He graduated from Leetonia High School in 1948 and served in the Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, the former Roselyn Richel, whom he married June 14, 1952; two daughters, Mrs Ron (Maureen) Swiger of Salem and Rose Ann Weikart of Atlanta; two brothers, William Weikart of Columbiana and Melvin Weikart of Salem; two sisters, Mrs Walter (Judy) Rohrer and Mrs Carl (Donna) Mathey, both of Washingtonville;
and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Weikart.
Services will be held at 10 am Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev James A. Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the donors choice.
