Sarah Glenn Hudspeth was the wife of Revolutionary War Patriot Thomas Hudspeth Sr. from Salisbury District, North Carolina. They were the parents of Leah Dale Hudspeth and several other children. Sarah Glenn's parents are believed to be James Glenn and Patience Hannah Thompson. Thomas and Sarah (Glenn) Hudspeth lived in Hardin County, Kentucky after the Revolutionary War, circa 1800-1810. Some time after 1812 they moved to Maury County, Tennessee where they appear in census records for 1820 and 1830. Sarah's husband died in 1835 and is buried in Maury County, TN. Sarah is found on the 1850 Census in Maury County, TN as a widow, age 79, living in the home of her son George Hudspeth. The final resting place of Sarah Glenn Hudspeth and her husband Thomas Hudspeth Sr are unknown, other than that both are buried in Maury County, Tennessee. Online memorials are being placed for both of them in Goshen Cemetery, were several other Hudspeths are buried; with the caveat that their gravesites are unknown and may be unmarked.
