Myrtle Terry, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday. She was married to her husband, Joseph Terry, for 55 years. She was a loving wife and mother. Myrtle was a retired homemaker who had worked many years at Ball Brothers, Muncie, and retired from Anchor Glass, Winchester, IN. She attended True Light Baptist Church in Muncie for over 25 years, and was a member of the Warner Gear Sympathy Club.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Terry; two daughters, Linda Sharp and Phyllis Shoptaw (husband-Jim); one son, Bob Terry (wife-Robin); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She came from a large, loving family from the late Paul and Ella (Douglas) Lloyd.
Surviving siblings include two brothers, Frank and Milton Lloyd; six sisters, Pauline Neal, Ruth Carender, Barbara Beu, Judy Simpson, Patsy Shelton, and Terri Morgan; and several brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews with whom she enjoyed camping with in the Tennessee mountains.
Two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Angel; a son-in-law, Gary Sharp; one brother, James Edward Lloyd; and one sister, Brenda Evans preceded her in death, as well as two brothers-in-law, Bertis Neal and James Carender.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie. Friends may greet the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday or one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Gardens of Memory Cemetery immediately following services on Saturday.
