Her obituary is in the Chronicle Herald of Monday 22 June 1992, Page C5 and reads "Commo, Bernice Irene - 77, Alton, Colchester County, formerly of Fort Ellis, Colchester County, died June 20, 1992 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Burnside, Colchester County, she was a daughter of the late James Forrester and Nettie (Brimicombe) Rogers. She was a resident of Alton for 10 years. She attended Alton United Church. She was a member of UCW Elizabeth Murray Unit, Martha Ann Unit and Colchester Co-op Knitters. She is survived by her husband, Hugh; two daughters, Mary, Stewiacke; Shirley Richards, Aldrossan, Alta.; five brothers, Bernard, Welland, Ont.; John, Fort Ellis; Harold, Gerald, both of Riverside; Clyde, Moncton, N.B.; sister, Thelma Rogers, South Maitland, Hants County; four grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Henry, Charles; sister, Marg; a son and daughter, both in infancy. The body is in Ettinger Funeral Home,Shubenacadie, visiting 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Andrew's United Church, Stewiacke, Rev. Murray Favier officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimers Society of Nova Scotia."
