Funeral services for Loyd John Hogue, 80, of 902 Adams, are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel. He died Wednesday at home. Rev. Ben Smith and Rev. Thomas Beall will officiate. Burial will be in Brigham Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 15, 1901 in Hunt County to E.H. and Ella Hogue. He married Eula Pauline Hogue Jan. 15, 1981 (sic) in Greenville. A retired service station owner, he was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, of Greenville; one stepson, W.R. Stafford of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Nell Strickland of Campbell; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Billie Merle Watson of Arlington; two brothers, L.V. Hogue of Sulphur Springs and M.A. Hogue of Greenville; one sister, Mrs. Opal Richards of Emory; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his prevous wife, Mrs. Irene Shuppin Hogue, in 1969; his parents; and one daughter.
