He had been a data processing operator for Montgomery County Public Schools. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Brunswick, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1136 of Brunswick.
Surviving besides his wife and parents are a brother, Gary L. Carter, Brunswick; a nephew and a niece; and a devoted aunt, Marie Carter, of Yarrowsburg.
Services were held at the Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick; interment was in Old Brownsville cemetery.
