Myron E. Haugaard, Sibley, N.D.

Myron Eugene Haugaard, 69, Sibley, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2003, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.

Mr. Haugaard was born Sept. 12, 1933, in Hope, N.D. He grew up and attended school in Luverne, N.D. He farmed with his uncle in Luverne. He moved to Burlington, Iowa, and worked for the Nabisco Cookie Factory. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. On Oct. 18, 1960, he married Irene Reidman near Dazey, N.D. They farmed near Hope. They moved to Sibley in 1996.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Darwin (Denora), Hope; two daughters, Shelly (Francis) Schumacher, Mandan, N.D., Tammy (Jason) Jorissen, Dazey; two sisters, Elsie (Dick) Gotzman, Mesa, Ariz., Carolyn (Don) Keagle, Phoenix; five grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday from 1 to 5 in Peterson-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home, Valley City, N.D., and one hour before the services in the church Thursday and Friday.

Prayer service: Rosary will be Thursday at 7 in the church.

Funeral: Friday at 11 in St. Mary's Catholic Church near Dazey.

Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery near Dazey.
