He was born April 15, 1928 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William Martin Garn and Athailiah Verna McMillan.
He attended school at Milo Elementary and Ucon Middle School.
He was a proud dairy farmer all of his life.
He married Donna May Edwards on May 2, 1946 and they were later divorced. On April 13, 1975, he married Stella Winter in Las Vegas, NV.
Blaine was a former member of the Elks Lodge and enjoyed shooting pool, dancing and yard work.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as the Ward Dance Director.
Blaine is survived by his children,
Son, Steve Garn of Idaho Falls, ID;
Son, Roger (Shellie) Garn of Idaho Falls, ID;
Daughter, Terri (Scott) Heilesen of Idaho Falls, ID;
11 Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Mack, Kay and Reed and 3 sisters, Verna Wilding, Beth Ray, and Gilda Joy, who was stillborn.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23 at Wood Funeral Home East Side Chapel (963 S. Ammon Rd.) with Bishop Scott Earl officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Burial will follow at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
