Mr. Wilbert Lee McDonald, 64, of Douglas, Ga., passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas.

Mr. McDonald was born April 5, 1940, the son of Walter McDonald and Mozell Carswell McDonald. He attended George Washington Carver Elementary and High School and was employed with Douglas Asphalt Company.

Survivors include: wife, Louise Yvonne Dennis McDonald of Douglas, Ga.; daughter, Valerie B. Mohoney of Killeen, Tx.; son, Bruce Z. (Debra) McDonald of Douglas, Ga.; four grandchildren, Bruce Z. Ward of Columbus, Oh., Tamika Dennis, Quanisha and Kinetta Mohoney of Killeen, Tx.; two aunts, Hester Buchan and McLetha (Frank) Matthews, both of Douglas, Ga.; five brothers, Wesley (Annie Mae) McDonald of Miami, Fla., Artha (Mary Louise) McDonald of Douglas, Ga., Laymon (Vickie) McDonald of Milwaukee, Wis., Johnny (Phyllis) McDonald of Douglas, Ga., and Ronnie (Marylin) McDonald of Augusta, Ga.; four sisters, Mae Vern Anderson of Waycross, Ga., Barbara A. McDonald of Miami, Fla., Mable Allen, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Betty Holsey of Alabama; son and daughter -in-law, Melvin and Loretta Hodges of Douglas, Ga.; three sisters-in-law, Mary C (Ray) Louder, Loretha D. (Robert) Smith, both of Douglas, Ga., and Geraldine Wilcox of Inkster, Mich.; two brothers-in-law, Herman Dennis, Jr., and Alvin Dennis of New Brunswick, N.J., several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 30, 2004, at 2 p..m., at Hightower Memorial Temple in Douglas, Ga., with Elder Randolph D. Scott officiating. Special musical selections were rendered by the choir, along with solos by Trina Goolsby, Tamika Goolsby, and Clarence Wilcox, III.

Active pallbearers were nephews. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Asphalt, Deacons and Brethern of Hightower Memorial Temple.

Interment followed in the Douglas City Cemetery in Douglas, Ga.
