Joseph Henry Ingram died at his home in North Mount Union Sunday evening, February 5, 1922, from complications of diseases. He was the son of Joseph and Rebecca Ingram. His father died some years ago (1881), but his mother is still living and resides in Mount Union. Mr. Ingram was born in Mount Union and was aged 41 years 10 months and 12 days. He was at one time an employee of Westinghouse Company at Pittsburgh. He was united in marriage to Rhoda Irene Weight on December 25, 1903, and to this union six children were born, Violet, James, William, Grace, and two deceased. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home at 2 o'clock, in charge services Rev. Brenneman, pastor of M.E. Church. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Undertaker, W.P. Dunmire.
Joseph is my grt-grandfather. His mother, Rebecca, was pregnant with him at the time of the explosion on December 19, 1881, that killed his father and 4 children. Martha (Stair) was 10 years old at the time and survived the explosion.
