KIMBALL - Carl L. Carlson, 77, died at Kimball Health Services Monday, March 12, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 15, at the First English Lutheran Church in Kimball with Pastor Dwayne Hunzeker officiating. Burial will be in the Kimball Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to either First English Lutheran Church or Prairie Haven Hospice. Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Carl Lee Carlson was born in Kimball April 15, 1929, the son of Carl and Edith (Hague) Carlson. He was raised in Banner County and attended high school in Kimball. He married Marlene Snyder at Sterling, Colo. on Sept 1, 1953.
Carl worked at Kimball Creamery for 20 years until it's closing. He then moved to Las Cruces, N.M. where he ran a carpet cleaning business. He moved back to Kimball and worked for the city until his retirement.
He was active in the boy scouts and was cub master for many years. Carl enjoyed motorcycles, painting and woodworking. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church. Carl loved his Lord, and was especially fond of spending time with his family who were always an important part of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene of Kimball; sons, Douglas and wife Kathleen Carlson of Kimball and Bryan and wife Esther Carlson of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughter, Becky and husband Steve Mannon of Kimball; sisters, Maxine Calkins of Arvada, Colo. and Elsie Stone of Pampa, Texas; brother, John Carlson of Minatare; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
