The son of John Bruce and Nancy Gilmore Bobbitt, he was born January 22, 1895, in Pulaski County.
A World War I veteran, he was a boilermaker by occupation and a member of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors are his wife, Evelyn Tibbals Bobbitt; two sons, Harry Beatty Bobbitt, Jr., Bowling Green, and Jack E. Bobbitt, Georgetown; one sister, Jane Clem, Rollo, Missouri; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at the Somerset Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Wilhelm officiating.
