Eva. M. Upleger, 80, of Mount Clemens died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000 in IHS Clarkston. She was born March 5, 1919, in Decatur, Ind.
Mrs. Upleger was previously employed as a nurse's aide at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital and was a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, Mount Clemens. She enjoyed caring for children and was a foster grandmother to many children.
She is survived by her children, Ray (Sharon) of Tennessee, Roger of Mount Clemens, Dale (Madelyn) of Rochester Hills, Terry (Michelle) of Washington Township and Cindy of Arizona; sister, Mary Almond of Macomb Township; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, on Jan. 16, 1982; and brothers, Ray, Lee and Jesse Amerine.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Murphy and Hauss Funeral Directors, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb Township, with the Rev. Delmar Marlar officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today and 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 205 Washington, Mount Clemens, MI 48043.
