Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Nance, 73 years of age, were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Campbellsville Baptist Church. Services were conducted by Rev. B. J. Skaggs assisted by Rev. Harvey Morrison and burial was in Brookside. A native of Adair County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Bottoms. She was a Baptist by preference. She united in marriage to Joe Nance 47 years ago and four sons and four daughters were born. Surviving are: Lee Nance, Indianapolis; Mrs. William Peck, of Crystal Lake, Iowa; Mrs. Fannie Richerson, city; Henry Nance with U. S. Army in North Africa. She also leaves three brothers and two sisters: Henry Bottoms, Oklahoma; Oze Bottoms, Oregon; Kirk Bottoms, Adair County; Mrs. Tom Collins, Adair County; and Mrs. Luther Lobb, Indianapolis. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Claude Nance, Ray Nance, Welby Nance, Fred Nance, Walter Nance, and Lloyd Bright.
