Sharon Beacham Seals passed away November 13, 2006 at 10:58 p.m. in Tooele at 80 years of age surrounded by her loving family. Mom was the fourth child of seven living children born to George William and Effie Jane Forsyth Beacham on September 15, 1926 in Cedar City, Utah. She was raised in New Castle, Utah and graduated from Cedar City High School in 1944. Soon thereafter she traveled up north to Deseret Chemical Depot where she met her future husband, Morton Douglas Seals. Our beloved mother is a wonderful person who raised her children to know the true meaning of service. You could always count on having something good to eat when you came to her home. She made blue-ribbon brownies, German chocolate cake, and the best fried chicken ever. Her life centered around nurturing and raising her children. She was a uniquely wonderful friend to all who knew her and made each person feel welcome and comfortable in her home. She had Christ-like love for everyone and made them feel of worth and like she knew and cared about each one as an individual. She was the definition of a wonderful grandmother. As a young woman Sharon found work at Deseret Chemical Depot in 1944. Mom fell in love with and married Dad on April 20, 1946 at the Salt Lake City Courthouse. They had a brief honeymoon and were back at work by Monday. They were sealed in the Jordan River temple for time and all eternity on November 11, 1998. Doug and Sharon celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. Mom was an active member of the LDS church where she served in many positions including Primary and Relief Society President. During her years of church service she blessed the lives of many family and church members with her beautiful quilts and blankets. She was a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor when she retired from Tooele Army Depot in 1975. Sharon Beacham Seals is preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, two brothers, and one great-grand-daughter. She is survived by one brother, Sherman Beacham, one sister, Florence Huntsman as well as five children and their spouses Ray and Carolyn Seals Brady, Chris and Laurie Dickerson Seals, Gary and Samm Hallmark Seals, Leo and Janis Seals Eason, and Larry and Sarah Simmons Seals. Dad and Mom's posterity include 31 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren with four more currently on the way. Come share with us a celebration of this angelic woman's life. Viewings will be Sunday, November 19 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 South Main, Tooele, Utah and 10:00-10:45 a.m. Monday, November 20 at the LDS 27th Ward located at 180 South Coleman, Tooele, Utah. Funeral will follow the viewing at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
