Bruce A. Abrell, 87, formerly of Bunker Hill, died on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Care Haven Center.

Born September 29, 1922 in Berkeley Co., WV he was the son of the late Harry Benjamin Abrell and Mary Gwen Morgan Abrell.

Bruce served our country as a MP during World War II. Until he was 81, he worked on the Loring Hill Orchards most recently employed by George S. Orr & Sons.

He is survived by a sister, Fern Armbrester of Bunker Hill; step-children, Lorraine Hill and husband, Dan of Stafford, VA, Eddie Fiddler and wife, Doris Ann of Inwood, Rhonda Gregory and husband, Jim of Martinsburg; five step-grandchildren, Shelley Lewis, Alan Fiddler, Paula Beamon, Jennifer Hill, and Amanda Fiddler; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Ruth Frye, Harry, Pearl, and Ray Abrell; first wife, Wilma Mason Abrell and second wife, Ruth Barbour Fiddler Abrell.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Butler officiating. Military graveside services will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

Family will receive friends on Monday, May 10, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
