Pearlie Mae Simpson was born in Madison, Alabama on January 9, 1957 to the late Mrs. Arbie Langford and Mr. James Ford. God called her home to rest on Monday, April 9, 2012.

Pearl was known as Momma, Big Sis, Big Momma, Auntie and Pearl the Great Girl.

She was educated in the Madison County School System. She worked many years in the Medical field until her health failed.

Pearl confessed hope in Christ at an early age and later became a member of the Big Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church, under the pastorship of Elder Woodrow Kirby, Jr.

She served faithfully on the Sister's Aide Society as the treasurer. She sang in the Combined Choir until her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Mrs. Arbie Langford; stepfather, Tommie Lee Langford, Sr. and James Houston.

To cherish her memories Pearl leaves behind a husband, Bobbie Simpson of Huntsville, Alabama; father, James Ford; four devoted children, Marcus (Jessica) Leslie, John (Melissa) Baker of Toney, Alabama, Vicki (Walter) Leslie and Nicki (Natassja) Leslie of Huntsville, Alabama; five loving grandchildren; JiQuan, JaTera, Anthony, MarQuis, and Kashua all of Huntsville, Alabama; nine devoted and loving siblings; Robert Ford of Pasadena, California, Tommy Langford, Jr., Billy (Carla) Langford, Willie Langford, Mary (Hawthorne) Readus, Minister Faye (Minister Gary) Rowe, Eloise (Jonathan) Chandler, Joyce Fitcheard, all of Huntsville, Alabama and Belinda (Lloyd) Houston of Mt. Lebanon, Alabama; fifteen uncles and aunts; Carl Anerson, Garner Moore, Georgia Moore, John White, James Wilson, Frank (Louise) Langford, Charlie (Mary) Langford, Robert (Barbara) Langford, orene (Milton) Rice and Mamie (Bill) Rice; a mother-in-law, Gladys Simpson; a special uncle, Cleveland Hyter, Sr.; a special and loving niece, LaChadsidy

Langford and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearlie Simpson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from the Big Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Madison, AL. Interment will be in Madison Memory Gardens. The remains of Mrs. Simpson will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time. The Simpson family will receive family and friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 from the Nelms Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
